Are weigh-ins open to the public?Yes! Watching the weigh-ins is exciting and open to the public. Please see "Tournament" FAQs for more details.

Is the event family-friendly?Absolutely! The Bluefin Blowout offers activities and entertainment for all ages, including live music, food vendors, and interactive experiences. It’s a perfect outing for families to enjoy the energy and excitement of the tournament while supporting a great cause.

Are pets allowed?Yes! We are pet friendly. All leashed and well behaved animals are welcome.

What are the parking and transportation options?Parking is available onsite at the Cape Ann Marina, but fills up quickly given the excitement of the event and general marine traffic. Carpool if possible.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?There are several hotels in the area, but we recommend staying with our host, Cape Ann Marina, or our neighbor, Beauport Hotel. Both proudly support the Bluefin Blowout and our cause, offering special room rates during the event.

Where is the closest airport & public transportation?Boston Logan International Airport is located approx. 40 miles from the Bluefin Blowout. If travelling via private air transportation the Beverly Airport is also available. The T provides public transportation from Boston and surrounding towns to Gloucester, with a stop located approximately 1.5 miles from the venue.

Will there be merchandise for sale?Yes! Official Bluefin Blowout merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, and more, will be available for purchase on-site and online following the tournament.

When do the weigh-ins start?July 16th weigh-ins open at 1:00 pm and close at 9:00 pm July 17th weigh-ins open 1:00 pm and close at 4:30 pm

Is this event free?This event is open to the public. Spectators can join us during weigh-ins at no cost. Opening and closing ceremonies are only open to captains & crews, sponsorship levels that apply and invited guests.

Where can I watch the weigh-ins?The best place is front and center at our weigh-in station or under the tent, but some folks watch from the Mile Marker One Restaurant at the Cape Ann Marina or by boat from the water!

Will there be entertainment?We will have a live DJ at all times and local performers during special events.

When is the best time to attend?Although we don't know exactly when participants will arrive with their catch, there is always something fun happening under the tent. We encourage you to stop by to be a part of all the fun, and of course check out the Official Bluefin Blowout Apparel store!

What is the Bluefin Bash FUNdraiser?The Bluefin Bash FUNdraiser is a vibrant night with a powerful purpose—where we truly put the "FUN" in fundraising! This inspiring event unites a community touched by Alzheimer’s, whether personally, through a loved one, or by supporting those affected. It’s an evening of heartfelt stories, raising awareness, and coming together to make waves in the fight against Alzheimer’s!

How do I attend the Bluefin Bash?The Bluefin Bash is a ticketed event with limited seating under the tent. Tickets are $500 per seat and must be purchased in advance. Tables of 6 and 10 are also available for reservation. See Tickets

What does the ticket price include?Your evening begins with a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a full dinner spread and a decadent dessert display. Admission also includes an open bar featuring a curated selection of signature Bash cocktails. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

What is the dress code?Embrace summer chic and casual cocktail attire. No ties nor tuxes required!

Is there an auction?There will be a live and silent auction with amazing items like local art and sculptures, fine jewelry, vacations, luxury vehicle rentals, and so much more!
